After the bedroom racks of early 2017, 2018 was my first real jump in scale.

I moved from 4 small racks into a build of 15 racks (9 tanks each) inside a 40ft container — a dedicated shrimp space, not a room borrowed from sleep.

1 · Beginning

Systems going in — valves, lines, and top-off floats while the container is still a build.

2 · Final stocked

Same 40ft container later — fifteen racks, nine tanks each, stock filled across every tier.

What changed

  • From a few bedroom racks → a container farm footprint
  • 4 small racks → 15 racks (9 tanks each)
  • Room to separate lines, grow-outs, and experiments under one roof

Farm note: A container doesn’t feel romantic. It feels like a decision: shrimp get their own building now.
